GIS Address Batch Processing

The USgeocoder GIS (Geographic Information System) Address Batch Processing Service delivers today's most complete and accurate address files. When you provide us your basic address information in a file, we batch process your addresses and deliver the file back with your desired information appended to each address.

The GIS software and mapping technology behind USgeocoder enables a level of detail and thoroughness that can substantively change what you decide to measure and how you'll use that data.

Here are 7 reasons why USgeocoder produces the most reliable GIS address batch processed files:

1.

Most Complete Output
USgeocoder cross-references and appends the most complete data to your file available anywhere including: geocodes, zip code and carrier route, congressional district data, Senator and elected Representative, state legislative district data and state official, county, incorporated municipality, town, township, voting precinct, school district, tribal reservation land, sales and use tax, 2010 and 2000 census blocks, 2010 census tract information.

2.

Greater Accuracy
For addresses not found on publically available maps, USgeocoder produce latitudes and longitudes (i.e., geocodes) addresses to the correct political jurisdiction, including municipalites, tribal areas, school districts, county, congressional and state legislative districts with 99% accuracy.

3.

Better Coverage
USgeocoder works with the US Postal, US Census TIGER databases and others. By cross-walking multiple databases, USgeocoder covers those addresses without mail delivery service as well as those addresses too new to be included in the TIGER database.

4.

Streamlined Processing
Most geocoders produce geocodes only. USgeocoder first produces geocodes, then generates desired data using geocodes, and appends final output to your address file in one process. You don't need to deal with different service providers to get the final output you're after.

For instance, you want the state legislative district information for your address file. It takes three steps to get the information:

(1)

Find the latitude and longitude for the address (also known as geocoding)

(2)

Identify the census block (the smallest unit that used to determine political jurisdictions)

(3)

Produce the state legislative district information based on the census block information.

With USgeocoder, all of these steps are done at once. With other services the final step will have to be done with a different service.

5.

Most Current Source Data
USgeocoder comes pre-populated with 2019 US Census TIGER census data and updates US Postal data monthly.

All government contracts require using 2019 US Census data for statistics and reporting. If you deal with government agencies, USgeocoder enables you to meet these essential government requirements. If you need to conduct demographic analyses, USgeocoder ensures you will have the correct census data to perform your work.

6.

Most Frequent Update Schedule
USgeocoder updates its USPS data on a monthly basis and TIGER data within days after its release. This is the most frequent update schedule available in today's market.

7.

Affordable Pricing
USgeocoder is a geocoding platform independent of expensive parcel data. Our pricing is at a fraction of the price charged by the big players in this industry.

For the record, NO geocoder can geocode 100% of US addresses. While other geocoders charge you for everything that runs through their system, you only pay for the addresses that we can geocode and return requested information. You have nothing to lose!

How GIS address batch processing works

Since every address file has its uniqueness, we normally need to clean up the address file before we put the file into batch production.

Our GIS batch address processing starts with standardizing each address and ends with producing the information you request.

Here is how our typical address batch processing service works:

1.

First, USgeocoder standardizes addresses through U.S. Postal Service database and U.S. Census TIGER database. Addresses that cannot be standardized are recognized and segregated.

2.

In the second step, USgeocoder batch geocodes address. It assigns a latitude and longitude for each address.

3.

Additional steps can be filtering to produce only designated zip codes, carrier routes, zip sectors, jurisdictions, or geographies.

4.

The data you have requested to append to the address file, such as district numbers, elected official contact information, Census blocks, MSA and and the like is added to each address row in their own columns in the order you choose.

5.

Final output can be customized to your application or lists. We can integrate this process into your applications such as customer relations management, fundraising management, organization management, voter outreach, GOTV, advertising management, service delivery planning, service delivery management, and mailing management.

6.

For addresses that can not be standardized, our GIS specialist will manually correct such troublesome addresses and run through the above steps.
